I'm expecting to get a lot of flak for this but I'm sure it'll help someone looking for a basic prepaid plan.

Exclusively through eBay, Red Pocket Mobile is offering yearly plans starting at $199. The basic plan [ebay.com] includes 1000 Minutes/1000 Texts/1GB data (500GB 4G LTE) monthly for 12 months. This works out to roughly $16.58 a month. SIM cards are included with the starter kit and work with AT&T, T-Mobile (may need to be unlocked) and Sprint phones. No direct mention of Verizon phones is made. Unfortunately the second block of 500GB monthly data is throttled down to 64-128kbps.

Directly from the terms and conditions - "In this offering, you will receive 3 SIM cards and an instructional flyer. This one year plan can be activated once on any of the 3 major wireless networks on which Red Pocket provides service to as long as the device is compatible with that network." Red Pocket's listing also states you have 14 days to try the service before you can return it.

Another upside to this plan is that it's tax free and you can earn eBay bucks on it. Right now with the eBay Bucks 4X bonus you would receive an additional $15.92 back.

If you need unlimited texts a second yearly plan is available for $229 [ebay.com]. This works out to $19.08 a month.

[prepaidphonenews.com] This was the cheapest plan I could find (per month) with this amount of minutes, texts and data plus compatibility on AT&T and T-Mobile networks. I realize providers like Ring Plus are free but Sprint coverage is virtually nonexistent in rural areas.

I was at HomeDepot today and saw they had the Chamberlain 1.25hp garage opener on Clearance for $62.02, normally around $240.

It comes with battery backup and the wireless hub. Picked the last one they had.
