Deal this week at Fry's [frys.com]

Fry's weekly promo (062815 - 070415) [frys.com]has a Samsung washer (WF56H9100AG/A2 ) and Samsung dryer (DV56H9100AG/A2) combo for a 48% discount with the personal promo code. It is highly unlikely you have a Fry's locally. However, I was able to get a price match with a similar deal (LG washer/dryer) last month at Home Depot. There were several others that were able to get the price match +10% at home depot, Lowe's, Bestbuy, Sears etc. I was happy to just get the price match which saved us around $1300. This deal is a bit more but that also means more savings.

I used google price comparison and the cheapest it showed was $1199 a piece. This deal if you are able to get the price-match + 10% price match should be about $809 + tax. It breaks down as follows:

$1699 - $400 (sell price) - $400 (promo-code offer) - $899(0.90) (price-match +10%) = $809

To get this deal I would suggest the following.

1. Save the link [frys.com] on your smartphone. I did this after being rejected twice for the before mentioned deal last month. If you have the add on your phone the salesperson seems less likely to thoroughly look through the add. Most places have a policy against the use of promo codes.

2. Look up the price matching policy of your retailer before you head out. I read through some of the links for Sears and Home Depot, the language is very vague and has no mention of a policy on promo code price matching. This can be used as ammo if confronted by the manager.

3. Check to see if there are any rebates. My deal just happened to have a $100 rebate that week.

2. Head to one of your local retailers that offers price match +10%

3. Be prepared to pay for delivery, especially if Fry's is several hundred miles away.

4. Be patient. I had to wait several hours for the salesperson to get approval from their manager. Well worth the wait.

Found today at my local Home Depot store is the Tulip One-Step Tie-Dye Kit for $2.90.

The price on the display is listed at $9.95 but it rings up for $2.90. Possible price mistake?
