The Daiwa poles arrived and I happened to be at Kmart buying $5 pizza so I went to check out their prices on fishing stuff. I guess I'm blessed because there's a big clearance sale going on. It appeared to be

• all hooks, lures, weights, line, sinkers, floats and the like
• it did include polarized sunglasses and some of the tools but not others.
• Little boxes like this [amazon.com] were $3.50. (75% less than Amazon) It's a nice box but the rubber feet will be lost soon.
• It included Power Bait for $1.24 but salmon eggs were $4 - $4.50

Stren Fluorocast 6lb 200 yard was $3.50, so pretty close to free after the $6 rebate.
The Stren Super Knot 4lb 220 yard (lo-vis green) was only $1.75 so two of those would definitely be free. (buy two spools, get $6 back, limit 4 rebates [stren.com])
There were other line brands, but I'm ignorant about the brands and the related rebates.

I guess I should have checked the big tackle boxes. I remember Kmart used to have nice big Plano boxes but I didn't see them or think of them at the time.

I did not check the pole/reel combos. Is a pole an "accessory"??

Oh yeah, you can pay with points. I had $6 in surprise points, but spent those on the pizza.

Edit: Heads up! The Plano boxes are supposed to come with a small bag containing two plugs. A plug gets attached to the latch and seals a small vent. The bags are loose and the boxes aren't sealed on the shelf and if you don't get the plugs the vent won't be sealed and the box will leak when you don't want it to.

Yesterday I went over to Best Buy looking for the FREE Destiny & Far Cry Season Pass Cards deal but they didn't have them at my local Best Buy. As I was walking out, I noticed the edge of a price sticker that said FREE. As I got a little closer to look at it, it said FREE and nothing else. I tried reading in case this was some kind of promotion such as buy an Xbox console and get a free season pass or something similar. I couldn't find any signs or anything in the fine print. All the batman cards were gone and there was just one call of duty card left. I took it over to the register and told the cashier it was free. She looked very puzzled and had someone else look for the tag. No one knew anything about it, but after arguing with them and talking to the manager, they gave it to me for free. This is very YMMV as not every Best Buy might have them, or let alone give it to you for free but if you have a BB close by, it's worth giving it a shot. I'll attach pictures of the tags below.

I have been doing a lot of research on tempered glass screen protectors for the SP3. It seems that the Zagg one which is exclusive for Best Buy and the Microsoft one are the best quality. No issues with pen use.

There a lots of cheap $10-$20 ones you can find on Amazon and Ebay, and $36 + tax seem like a lot for a screen protector, but the main benefit of the Zagg is that Best Buy will stall it for you until they get it right. Also they will replace it for you if there are minor cracks, etc on it in store. I just hate getting bubbles in these when I try to install it at home. They installed mine for me, and I love the feeling of never have to worry about bubbles.

Williams Sonoma has their stainless steel bocce ball set on sale for just under $8 plus tax and shipping (shipping on two is approximately $6.50 for me). Set is regularly almost $70, though I'm not sure who would buy it for that price.
