The price just dropped today on it and it is the cheapest price it has been on Amazon with it previously selling for $799.99 on its last price drop in October. I've been watching this receiver for quite some time since I blew out the right channel/zone 2 on my Onkyo HT-RC260. I wanted to upgrade to a higher end receiver and after a lot of research this receiver fit the bill best for me.

After researching I knew I wanted a Yamaha Aventage line receiver and after I watched this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u9VPRgkj3Do (jump to 9:10 for A830/A1030 comparison) I knew that I wanted to pay a little more and step above the Yamaha RX-A830 to the RX-A1030 in the Aventage line for the Symmetrical Amp layout and overall better build quality (DACs etc)

I ordered from IQ Home Entertainment, an authorized Yamaha dealer to save on tax. I went ahead and added the 2 year warranty for $20~ bucks for extra peace of mind. Amazon is showing in stock, but IQ Home Entertainment is only showing 16 left in stock. Out the door for $620 with a 5 year warranty is awesome in my book for this!

The prices have not dropped on the bigger brother Yamaha Aventage RX-A2030 and RX-A3030. I don't see this deal lasting long and I wanted to share this for anyone looking into ordering a great higher end receiver that is currently at a great price.
